Today, on September 2, the one more great fighter of the era celebrates his Anniversary- it is Lennox Lewis!

Lennox Claudius Lewis was born in Stratford, East End of London on September 2, 1965. At the age of 12 he and his family moved to Canada, where Lennox began his boxing carrier. During the amateur carrier Lewis represents Canada on two Olympics, 1984 in Los Angeles, where he has reached the quarter-finals and 1988 in Seoul, where he becomes The Olympic Champion at super-heavyweight (+91 Kilo), in the final bout stopping another future heavyweight world champion, Riddick Bowe of US.

After the Olympics Lewis signed the contract  with Frank Maloney in England, and since then as a pro he represents Britain, but still training and mostly living in Canada, or United States under the guidance of the great Emmanuel Steward.

Lennox Lewis won 3 WBA, WBC and IBF world titles at the  heavyweight division, successfully defending them for 13 times. He has fought and won 14 different world champions, and is considered as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time and one of the greatest athletes in Great Britain and Canada!

His last fight was in 2003, when he stopped The Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko in the 6-th. His final record as a pro is 41 (32 KO)-2 (2 KO)-1.

Unbelievable, but today Lennox Lewis celebrates his  50-th Anniversary! He with his wife, the former Vice-Miss Jamaica, Violet Chang, have four children. They mostly live in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where Mr. Lewis has recieved The Honorable Citizenship!

The first Olympic boxing Champion from Cuba, 1972 in Munich, at bantamweight (54 Kilo), Orlando Martinez- 69 years!

The WBA featherweight Champion of the World, The Venezuelan Antonio Esparragoza- 56 years!

The two-time European Champion, 2003 World and 2004 Olympic Champion in Athens. Later on, the WBA heavyweight Champion of the World as pro, The Russian Alexander Povetkin- 36 years!
